'Thinking Of You' is the fourth single by Katy Perry, to be released from her 2008 album 'One Of The Boys'. It is one of three tracks from the album written solely by Perry. The song marks the first ballad single to be released by Perry, contrary to her previous hit singles. The single was released for radio airplay only in the U.S.A. on January 12th 2009. It has already received heavy rotation from some of the big radio stations in the U.S. and the song is already top 50 on the Mediabase charts, with daily increase.

The music video, which features actor Matt Dallas as Perry's true love, has a World War II theme and is directed by Melina. It starts with Katy Perry sitting at an old vanity table in a bedroom, looking at a soldier's picture. A man is revealed lying in a bed. She continuously gets flashbacks of the "good times" she had with her previous love [the soldier in the picture], and she looks out her window, and instead of seeing what is really outside, she sees her previous lover riding on a bike with her. She is then accompanied by the man that was lying in the bed, and they start kissing on the bed. As she is doing this, she gets a flashback about the night that her previous lover had to go to war, and then she gets a flashback of him getting shot in action in WW II Europe. She stops kissing the man, pushes him away from her, and goes to her vanity table and starts getting dressed. Another flashback is shown with her holding a Department of War telegram, revealing that her husband was killed in action. After seeing this, Perry is shown dressed in funeral clothing, and walks out of the house.
